What is Textbookt?
Textbookt is a fintech company that uses smart contracts to distribute online textbooks with security and authenticity. We aim to lower costs for consumers and increase profitability for publishers. Further, Textbookt hopes to get rid of paper waste and incorporate secure technology for test taking.
How did Textbookt Start?
Started in Aug. 2022 with 3 college friends who come together for a Pitch competition at New Mexico State with the idea of a better way to buy textbooks. After winning first place at the competition Textbookt was born. Since then the other Co-Founders left the company but Aaron and John are still an important part of the Textbookt story. We see a future of using smart contracts to better implement security and cost-effective solutions for textbook purchasing for College students and more.
Goals and Purpose
Save the environment by lower the amount of paper used to produce textbooks
Provide textbooks at a low cost to students
Protect publisher's intellectual property and reduce textbook piracy
